I can’t believe the new school year is already upon us! And this year, it’s especially near and dear to my heart because my not so little one, Kendall, is going to kindergarten. She’s been in daycare since she was 4 months old but entering the school system is a whole new ball game. So I wanted to send her out on the right foot.
Every day, we tell her how special she is and how much we love her, but a few goodies snuck in her book bag can’t hurt, right? So I whipped up this adorable, if I do say so myself, DIY pillow boxes that you can easily fill with your child’s favorite candy like smarties or starbursts. Each pillow box dons a positive affirmation: You Got This, I’m Proud of You, You’re Amazing and Don’t Quit in bold graphics.
I don’t know about you, but if I saw this unexpected note in my backpack, that would be the added oomph I’d need to get through the day and know that my parents love and care about me.
