This was the first year Kendall really expressed interest in a birthday theme and she instantly chose Tangled. So many ideas started to run through my head on how to execute it. So I remembered the part of the movie when Rapunzel and Flynn were having fun in the center of town and it reminded me of a street fair. So we started off with a Tangled Street Fair theme!
Deciding on a menu proved to be challenging since most of the food served at a street fair is fried and there was no way I was standing behind a fryer all day. Instead I put my sister there…only for a brief period of time, no frets. So we had popcorn, pretzels, donuts and huge hit…churros! And to stay with the color theme: purple and yellow I offered lemonade and purple kool-aid. When’s the last time you had kool-aid, right?
The cake was designed by yours truly and baked by Dee’s One Smart Cookie. Dee and I are on a first name basis since I’ve become nearly a weekly customer picking up allergen-free (delicious I might add!) cupcakes for all of the parties Kendall attends. Dee’s cakes are just as outstanding and she never fails.

We had a bounce house for the kids to play in, face painting and had each child put a handprint on a blank canvas which now hangs in Kendall’s playroom. An inexpensive and fun wall decor!
The favor bags came in handy when it was time to hit the pinata. I was a bit nervous with the amount of candy I put in the Pascal pinata and if it would hold but it did and was super cute!

Kendall walked in after the party and said, “Phew! That was a great party!”
Mission accomplished.

Love the yellow yarn braid! What a cheap and easy way to get the point across. i have found that store bought pinatas are usually too hard for kids to break open, and I pull apart some of the insides before adding the stuffing.
Love the stamped bags!
So so cute! I am planning Gia’s party for November and she has decided on a Carnival theme…I just love planning parties.
Did you make the piñata ? Love it and would like to find one. Thanks
