Looks like another month came and went. It’s apparent that one of my May goals, #5 to be exact, hasn’t been met otherwise I would have stopped to smell the roses. But then again I shouldn’t be so hard on myself because work-life balance isn’t really a tangible destination, is it? Rather a journey into balancing what needs to be done and what you would like to do. However I will save that digression for another post.
Back on track, May goals.
Complete stock for June’s craft fair. A big fat nope on that one. I am, however, in a printing frenzy right now to complete my stock by the end of this weekend as my husband will be away for business and that leaves no extra time to get additional work done with a little one pulling you in 5 different directions. So Starbucks and late night television have been my best friends these past few nights and will be well into the weekend. But I’m determined to get ‘er done.
{I interrupt this regularly scheduled programming to ask, did anyone see Unwrapped on Food Network the other night? They highlighted Maggie Moo’s red velvet ice cream. Now I have another craving.}
And we’re back…
New blog series. Readers meet “Perideau finds”. ”Perideau finds” meet your readers. Done and done. By the way, how do you like this series of lovely items I find on Etsy? 2 enthusiastically thumbs up?
E-newsletter. Another one bites the dust. I do have every intention of getting one out so I believe that will roll over (who am I, AT&T?) into June.
Re-address advertising campaign. I do have something in the works that will begin towards the end of June after my craft show is over. It’s a doozy so keep an eye out for it.
Onwards and upwards we march in the month of June. My plan is to really scale back on the goals even more and focus on my first craft fair. It’s slowing creeping up and I want to make sure I’m ready as can be. With that said I do feel like I’m heading in the right direction (hope I didn’t just jinx myself). I just made out like a bandit at TJ Maxx with some display items, contacted a designer for my sign, got my temporary tax license, and conversed with my booth partner. Thank goodness they paired me with a veteran. Her knowledge (and supplies) are invaluable.
So enough of my incessant ramblings and onto my June goals…
June 2009 Goals
1. Work-life balance
2. Send out an e-newsletter
3. Craft show
Another month already on it’s way and I’m feeling ready to tackle it, yet stop and smell the roses.
Once again, hats off to Jena for keeping us on track.

Hi! I think the craft show goal is a big doozie that’s actually a combo of many little goals that it’ll take to get there, so good thing you didn’t add much more! And work/life balance..ah..wouldn’t that be nice?
I’m constantly taking everyday at a time with that one. Good luck with everything and thanks for participating!

I think your goal of “work-life balance” is wise and crucial to success. While it’s hard to find, sometimes it’s better to put down your work or walk away from the computer *gasp* to address the needs of family. That way you can return to your work with a clear conscious and ultimately be more productive. (Or at least that’s what I’m telling myself!) Best of luck with your June goals!
Ditto on Jena’s thoughts on the craft show goal. I would’ve cheated and broken that down in to a hundred mini-goals just because I really like crossing things off lists.
Good luck!
Good luck at the craft fair! I’m a big fan of finds blog posts I do them all the time!
great list, bridgett. it’s amazing how much you get done with a ‘regular’ job and your paper goods business as well. and i know all too well how hard it is with the little ones around. good luck to you this month! [and i love your etsy finds!]
Good luck at the craft fair! I really like your recap of last months list too!
TIME OUT. red velvet ice cream?! no way. that is amazing. also, good luck with juggling everything! i hope the craft fair goes well!
I totally agree with Jena about the craft show–that’s a monster goal! And with Angie about work-life balance. I struggle with that a ton myself. But it’s encouraging to know I’m not the only one, and I think participating in the meetup is the perfect way to begin achieving that. Or at least chart the path toward achievement! Looking at a monthly list of goals, and what you can and can’t get done each month, really puts things in focus.
Good luck this month- a craft fair is huge-I’d like to attempt one int he future. I think the work-life balance is on everyone’s goal list, even if they don’t write it down. I know it is for me! Hard to separate sometimes when it’s all happening under one roof.
Again- good luck w/ everything!
Your June sounds like my April, the frenzy of getting all the product made and done and tagged, it’s exhausting. But fun and wonderful too!
I am off to peek at the ice cream video. Good luck with pulling everything together for the show!
If we’re not out of town June 20-21 (could be traveling with the family), I may have to take a drive up to Deerfield and give you some moral support!
Good luck at the craft fair and thanks for the welcome.
Thanks everyone for your kind words. It’s great to get to know you all. Cyn, moral support would be great!

Great to read your goals, esp. the work-life balance, that one seems to be a work-in progress for me! It’s great reading everyone’s goals and helps me add to my list for next month (and beyond!) Good luck at your craft show!
